and now, i regret having turned my back on them...

it's odd...

the way i feel his presence and how much i enjoy staring at him...

i guess i just woke up on the wrong side of the bed...

okei...so, i've been very irritable these past few days [particularly today...] ...well, i have every reason to be...

it's less than thirty degrees outside...i've been running around like a madman with an umbrella that hasn't been very helpful and even embarrassed me in front of a couple of homo sapiens...i have a shoelace soaked with mud...my hair is flying on all directions...my coins fell from the 'hole' in my pocket...my cellphone is ringing noisily....i have a bruise on my upper left arm...and for the finishing touch, it's topped with a three-inch scratch....

and the day is not yet through...damn...when will this end/

dang...i just couldn't get enough of X-MEN...the last movie of the trilogy was a blast...!

okei...so i was OVEREXCITED to see it...i went to the cinema [with rose and may] on the eve of our laboratory final written exam...how's that for a model student?

hehe...nwei, it was rather ODD to see Wolverine falling head over heels in love with Jean Grey...i thought he's totally EMOTIONLESS...

what i didn't really expect was the death of SCOTT SUMMERS [a.k.a. CYCLOPS] and JEAN GREY [a.k.a. PHOENIX]...aw, c'mon...don't tell me that i spoiled the movie...you should've seen this already...

the director and producers did a great job..! thumbs up to all of you...! *bow-bow*...

VARIETY'S THE SPICE OF LIFE, aight? so here ya go... action, suspense, thriller, romance, comedy, science fiction, and a touch of 'horror'...

don't dare call yourself a CERTIFIED MOVIE-GOER if you failed to see this movie...

i had a dream last night...

but of course, i couldn't remember the WHOLE dream... [fact: when you wake up, you're lucky enough if you remembered HALF of your dream...]

and he was talking to someone...

it was a lil later when i realized that the someone was me...

i couldn't make out his face because of the darkness that has befallen in the room...

and he only spoke of three words....

"i love you..."

a friend was kind enough to interpret my dream...

she told me that it could be one of my GREATEST DESIRES...hehe...and that i may be thinking of this scene, SUBCONCIOUSLY...

and another friend said that HE could be my SOULMATE... haha...

i saw THE DA VINCI CODE a few hours ago...

lemme tell you...

it's BORING...

and if you're thinking of reading the book first so you can relate to the movie, think again...it wouldn't be exciting AT ALL... the latter is very dependent on the former...

and Tom Hanks' acting is a lil lousy...kinda far from Robert Langdon's personality described in the book...Audrey Tautou didn't help either...

the only character i liked was SILAS....yes... he looked attractive in the movie...even with his pale-ghost skin...and the 'corporal mortification' gave me goosebumps and sent shivers down my spine...

oh hey...this is just MY opinion...don't let it affect your judgment...

go and watch the movie... but...

WATCH it first BEFORE READING the book...

i saw the news on tv last night...

some members of the Opus Dei reacted to the exaggerated picture of the organization and its 'rituals' presented by Dan Brown in his controversial book- The Da Vinci Code....

i don't know if the movie [starring Tom Hanks] will still have the chance to be shown in the Philippines since many religious sects are fearing of the effect it will have on Catholics- specially the youth....

as for me, i think that the BOOK is more powerful and has more possibility and chance of 'convincing' the people about the so-called wedlock of Jesus Christ to Mary Magdalene [pardon me for spoiling those who have not yet read the book]...i admit though, that after reading, i had some questions but i never doubted my religion and faith...i believe in God and the teachings of the church...

my wanting to see this movie is merely out of curiosity...and i guess it depends whether the movie-goer will allow himself to be influenced by this movie or not...

an article in www.hollywoodnews.com recently caught my eye...

Paris Hilton had been chosen by an Indian director to play the role of Mother Theresa in his upcoming movie....he said that he was impressed because Paris refused to accept a pictorial shoot for Playboy magazine...now, how's that for a valid and sane reason??

i could never....never...never picture Paris portraying the life of one of the most respected and loved woman of all times....it's ridiculous...

i took one of my hands from his and placed my glass of wine at the edge of the table...

"it's going to fall," he said...

"exactly...i want you to tip it over the edge..."

"break the glass?"

yes, break the glass...a simple gesture, but one that brings up fears we can't really understand...what's wrong with breaking an inexpensive glass, when everyone has done so unintentionally at some time in their life?

"break the glass?," he repeated..."why?"

"well, i could give you lots of reasons," i answered..."but actually, just to break it..."

"for you?"

"no...of course not..."

he eyed the glass on the edge of the table- worried that it might fall...

it's a rite of passage, i wanted to say...it's something prohibited...glasses are not purposely broken...in a restaurant or in our home, we're careful not to place glasses by the edge of the table...our universe requires that we avoid letting glasses fall to the floor...

but when we break them by accident, we realize that it's ot very serious...the waiter says, "it's nothing..."and when has anyone been charged for a broken glass? breaking glasses is part of life and does no damage to us, to the restaurant, or to anyone else...

i bumped the table...the glass shook but didn't fall...

"careful!," he said instinctively...

"break the glass," i insisted...

break the glass, i though to myself, because it's a symbolic gesture...try to understand that i have broken things within myself that were much more important than a glass, and i'm happy i did...resolve your own internal battle, and break the glass...

our parents taught us to be careful with glasses and with our bodies...they taught us that the passions of childhood are impossible, that we should not flee from priests, that people cannot perform miracles, and that no one leaves on a journey without knowing where they are going...

In fact, unless you obtained a copy of the US paper which published it, you probably would never have seen it. The picture is that of a 21-week-old unborn baby named Samuel Alexander Armas, who is being operated on by surgeon named Joseph Bruner. The baby was diagnosed with spina bifida and would not survive if removed from his mother's womb. Little Samuel's mother, Julie Armas, is an obstetrics nurse in Atlanta. She knew of Dr. Bruner's remarkable surgical procedure. Practicing at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, he performs these special operations while the baby is still in the womb. During the procedure, the doctor removes the uterus via C-section and makes a small incision to operate on the baby. As Dr. Bruner completed the surgery on Samuel, the little guy reached his tiny, but fully developed hand through the incision and firmly grasped the surgeon's finger. Dr. Bruner was reported as saying that when his finger was grasped, it was the most emotional moment of his life, and that for an instant during the procedure he was just frozen, totally immobile. The photograph captures this amazing event with perfect clarity. The editors titled the picture, "Hand of Hope." The text explaining the picture begins, "The tiny hand of 21-week-old fetus Samuel Alexander Armas emerges from the mother's uterus to grasp the finger of Dr. Joseph Bruner as if thanking the doctor for the gift of life." Little Samuel's mother said they "wept for days" when they saw the picture. She said, "The photo reminds us pregnancy isn't about disability or an illness, it's about a little person." Samuel was born in perfect health, the operation 100 percent successful. Now see the actual picture, and it is awesome... incredible....

Summary:
Eun Jae (Han Chae Young) is a very stubborn, prideful, and head-strong girl who has a passion for cooking. Because she does not have an interest in studying, she runs away to Italy before she graduates from high school to enroll in cooking school. Her high school friend, who loves her dearly and shares her passion for cooking, comes along with her.

Han Yi-Joon (Jo Hyun Jae) is from a wealthy family who owns a large hotel and various restaurants. He travels to Italy to attend his estranged mother's wedding and there he runs into Eun Jae, who had also been seeking the mother, who happens to be a chef, to learn the secrets to making great pasta. She comforts Yi-Joon, who is distraught over his mother remarrying, and they have this one-night stand. But the next day, Eun Jae's friend (I forgot his name) shows up and confronts Yi-Joon. He tells him that he is Eun-jae's boyfriend, and Yi-joon got shocked and left. Six years later, the story tells that Eun-jae has a son, and she has to give up her dream - but does not tell Yi-Joon.

Six years later, they have all returned to live in Korea - Eun Jae working low paying cooking jobs, Yi-Joon taking over the operations of his family's restaurant, and Eun Jae's friend working as a chef for one of the restarurants owned by Yi-Joon and supporting Eun Jae's family, including the child born out of wedlock, financially because they have fallen on hard times. Yi-Joon still has feelings for EunJae and they run into each other just as he is looking for a new chef for his restaurant - with her in mind. The dramatic tension unfolds as the three main characters work out their feelings for each other as they work together in close proximity.

Cast/Characters:

Eun Jae (Han Chae Young) is an optimistic girl who gets a scholarship to a cooking school in Italy as the prize for winning a cookery contest in Korea. She loves to cook and hopes to work as a chef to support her family. She met her prince charming while she was studying in Italy. After 6 years of keeping secret from him, she finally meets him again, and the story continues... Yi Joon still has this feelings towards her, and always wants to find her again after that night in Italy. Eun Jae, with the help of Yi Joon, works at the family restaurant which almost being demolish if Yi Joon cannot manage to bring up the restaurant's prestige. With Eun Jae being the head chef, together they overcome all problems, including the rejection from Yi Joon's noona (big sister) and Father.

Ji Yoon (Jo Hyun Jae) is the son of the chairman of the powerful Dae Young Group who is looking for his mother who he haven't seen since he was 7 in Italy. He was bitter and sad after finding out the facts that his mom is still alive and well, living in Italy. He met his mom the day before her wedding... Met with Eun-jae, and having to spend the time with her, created this whole "problem" for the next 6 years. He has not idea that happened to her for the past 6 years, and how she's been living on her own. After he finds her, he is very determined to bring back his wife and son and be a family. His determination in this drama had to be applauded... *hehe* he even puts eun jae's picture and his son as a wallpaper on his laptop.

Ji Soo Yun (Hong Soo Hyun) is Yi Joon childhood's friend. She has feelings for Yi-Joon for many years in secret but is unable to watch a relationship develop between Yi Joon and Eun Jae without discomfort. All she wants is to be with Yi Joon, but he doesn't share the same feelings as she does. Her feelings somehow will annoy us, the audience. To see how a girl can just through her pride away to pursue a man who doesn't even love her that way. She did everything she could, and even begged Yi Joon's dad to allow her to marry him. She confronts Eun jae that she'll raise her son as her own. (gosh, the guts!)

Jeon Hyun Sung (Lee Chun Hee) is childhood friend of Eun Jae, he follows Eun Jae to Italy with his own feelings for her about be unleashed. He always loves Eun Jae, eventhough he knows what Eun Jae doesn't have any feelings for him, rather than just as bestfriends. His character here is almost the same as Soo Yun's character. Being there for Eun Jae, and even renting a house for Eun Jae and her family to live in, this guy will do anything for Eun Jae. But sadly, she doesn't love him the way that he wants her to be...

I. _Bago ang lahat, alamin muna ang tamang
dahilan ng pagsu-suicide..
Kung ang problema mo ay dahil lang sa iniwan ka

i took a couple of sips from the ready-to-drink coffee i bought the other day...

i felt drowsy after a few minutes....

then, i decided to sleep [it was 12 midnight, by the way...] and wake up at 4am to continue studying for our midterm exams...

i was lying in bed for what seemed like hours but STILL, i couldn't sleep....my eyelids were getting heavy and each time i'd attempt to close them, they would open...

well....since i was just there...awake and doing nothing....i grabbed my biology book and studied our lessons...then "NATURE CALLED..."...i swung my legs from the bed and smoothed my hair...when i was on the top of the staircase...i looked at the pitch dark path to the comfort room...i hesitated but i sure as hell don't wanna risk my health so i gathered all my strength and slowly walked down...i turned the lights on and peed as fast as i can...i hurried back to my bedroom and my most awaited moment finally came...i slept at around 4:30 in the morning and woke up at 7...

the caffeine IS still in my system...i swear...i won't drink coffee anymore...even if it's the last way to keep me awake for my studying sessions...

we had a mini inter-section olympics yesterday...

only four sections were there to compete...

it was fun..!

i wasn't a player but i was able to support our team all the way...[my voice sounds like that of a man and my throat is itchy due to the infinite head-blowing screams i made...just to prove how supportive i am...]

we end up winning the basketball girls and boys and landing second in volleyball[mixed..]....

during the game, rain was pouring hardly but it didn't cease us from playing....

we continued our PE...

hehe....it's a lil cheer my friend Shirley and i were able to compose during the basketball game...

i'm sure as hell we all learned a lot of things...

i was there, lying in my bed and i could hardly move a muscle...

when NANAY started massaging my right elbow, surges of pain came running through every inch of my body...

eventually, i felt better about a quarter of an hour later...
